Tesla has given future Model X owners another reason to show off the electric SUV once they get them in the form of a spectacular holiday light show on Christmas Day.
The full-size crossover showed off its flashing lights and opening doors, which customers are expected to display by this time next year, . Tesla CEO Elon Musk that his company will ship all Model Xs with the light-show Easter Egg.
"Model Xmas show! This is being done by the car itself (no special mods) & will be onboard as an Easter Egg," he wrote.
Deliveries of the Model X began in September, though Tesla only handed out a dozen of them at the time, . The units in this batch will cost $132,000 each, while the rest will be priced at about $80,000.
The Model X, which is the most anticipated SUV of 2015 and is scheduled to be made available in the second half of 2016, will treat drivers with a top speed of 155 mph and can go 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds for the P90D Performance Model, which will also feature the "Ludicrous Speed Upgrade," .
