Despite the odds, Honda still believes that it can competitively compete in the new line of vehicles as it wanted to tap into the pickup market together with the more established brands.

Honda is active in social media, specifically on YouTube as it has posted a video that shows its 2017 Honda Ridgeline to carry 800 pounds of landscaping rocks dumped by a bulldozer.

It shows very little damage in the immediate physical body of the pickup, adding up to the positive impression that the new Honda pickup is taking from the media. The video has the same theme with the latest Chevrolet ads that are out in social media as well. The Chevy ads compare the strength of the Silverado's bed with the F-150.

The ad that became a viral one shows the damages in the form of scratches that the aluminium bed of the F-150 had from the transfer of rocks, while the steel bed of thee Silverado is still in a very good condition despite the 825 pounds of rock that were put into it.

This is considered as one of the most effective and manipulative marketing campaigns that the manufacturer has made for years.

The Ridgeline has a composite bed that shows the best physical appearance when compared to the other competitors in the video. This shows the strength and durability of the pickup's composite bed.

Small scratches are the only ones visible, leaving the tailgate and the in-bed trunk of the truck to be in very good condition.

After the hiatus that the Ridgeline experienced for over two years, it is now returning back to the market as Honda dealerships are doing every possible marketing campaign now.

Honda together with its economic and financial department forecasts a steady increase in the demand for pickup trucks in this year, a very good sign that producing a new Honda pickup truck is a good move to make.

The new Ridgeline has been undergoing production since May.

It has the price of $30,375. One of the best features it has is the V6 engine generating 280 hp.
