McLaren confirms that a talk between them and Apple commenced. The talk was all about strategic investment or a takeover by Apple but no agreement was done. There were reports last September that Apple was interested in taking over the British supercar maker and Formula 1 team.

Mike Flewitt, McLaren Automotive chief executive, revealed that Apple visited McLaren for a talk but there was nothing offered by the Tech Giant. The chief executive said they talked, Apple talked about what they did, the chief talked about what they do, they toured, but there was no proposition defined, according to .

The development of the world's most popular personal technology which are the iPhone, iPad, and Mac computers was a result of Apple's ingenuity. There were rumors that Apple is interested in entering the motor industry to produce a self-driving electric car. But it seems that the Tech Giant's interest in the motor industry is still vague.

Apple hired ex-Tesla's executive Chris Porritt to oversee the "special project" division just earlier this year. The company is now valued around $1.31 to $1.95 billion that is why it is not a surprise that bigger companies are trying to take over the company in its bargained price. Flewitt also said that there were several bids to take over the British brand but all offers were turned down, according to .
