It is also noted that the model has laid down a 2 minutes and 9.8 seconds time while its rivalry McLaren 675LT did 2 minutes and 10.8 seconds and Ferrari's 458 Speciale is 12 seconds away from the GT with a duration of 2 minutes and 21.9 seconds when it was at the Calabogie Motorsports Park that is located in Canada.
The is weighing 3,045 pounds alone excluding the fluid's weight that would add up another hundred or more. Its power to weight comes in 4.72 pounds per horsepower. This makes the GT as the closest competitors of the Ferrari 488 and McLaren's 675LT.
According to the global director of the company's performance, Dave Perick, "Our expectation has always been that the EcoBoost V6 would perform exceptionally well in the -- both in terms of power as well as aerodynamic efficiency," he also added, "We tested and developed this powertrain through the Daytona Prototype race car that ran in IMSA for two seasons, last season racing with Ford GT. We are extremely pleased with how it performs, both on the track and on the road."
The 2017 GT is the fastest car to have a Ford badge that will have a price starting around $400,000. There are only 500 fortunate consumers who can get the GT while the rest will be left dreaming of having one.
