"Five Nights at Freddy's" latest updates seem to speculate that the game developer is now working on the sixth installment of the game. The new theory stems from an allegedly leaked code which was picked by the "FNaF" fans.
A discussion at says that the new source code edits have allegedly leaked from the websites of ScottGames and FNaF World. The "FNaF" fans were quick to pick up some lines which seem to point to a potential new game of "Five Nights at Freddy's."
The source code came from a weird argument between the two websites of the creator, Scott Cawthon. Fans were quick to pick up some familiar phrases from the conversations.
"FNaF" fans speculate that the phrases like "Be quiet," "You can't tell us what to do anymore," and "We outnumber you" from the argument seem to sound like teasers. The fans speculate that these teasers seem to hint on a new game of the franchise.
Meanwhile, another theory also stems from the same discussion at the Steam Community. "Five Nights at Freddy's" fans speculate that the codes may hint on a potential new movie. Fans also predict that another teaser image will most likely come out too.
However, since the codes came from a post dated April 1, several "FNaF" fans also noted that it could just be an April Fool's Day joke from the creator.
Several comments on the thread show how fans were appalled that the other fans were not taking the post as an April Fool's prank. Some firmly believe that it was simply a prank while others still believe that the creator was not joking and that there is a hidden clue from the post.
One "FNaF" fan even firmly mentioned that he has been hearing the theory from many people already. The fan also admitted that he completely agrees with the theory.
Whether the source codes from Scott Cawthon's post were hidden teasers or not, fans remain anxious in waiting for official updates from the creator. It remains to be seen if the theory has truth in it.
What do you think? Was Scott Cawthon teasing on a new game or a new movie or simply making an April Fool's prank?
