The 2018 Nissan Leaf has been announced to debut on Sept. 6. An official teaser photo seems to hint that the grille design of the new electric vehicle came from the IDS Concept.
Nissan U.K. took to its official account the announcement of the launch of the new Leaf. The tweet says the new model will premiere on Sept. 6.
The announcement also serves as a teaser photo of the upcoming model. However, only the logo and the car grille can be spotted on the image.
It seems that the next generation Leaf has taken its inspiration from the IDS concept that was introduced at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. It can also be noted that sources from the automaker have revealed that the design of the upcoming model will resemble the exterior design language of the .
The 2018 Nissan Leaf is positioned to become the best electric vehicle in the world. It comes with the impressive ProPilot assist feature that will enable the car to function as a self-driving vehicle.
This intelligent ProPilot assist will act as the technical pair of hands of the driver. It will manipulate the vehicle to move in a single lane, as well as the acceleration and braking system of the EV.
Meanwhile, customers of the electric utility, Salt River Project, are in for an exciting treat. They can avail a for a new Leaf, which means they will only need to pay about $14,000 for the electric car. Nissan will release the rebate to the buyers.
Apparently, the Salt River Project made a deal with Nissan to acquire a group-purchase rebate for the new Leaf. The automaker has granted the negotiation and has rewarded the electric utility with a rebate.
Furthermore, customers will also qualify for a tax credit of $7,500. Interested buyers can avail of the promo for the whole month of July.
SRP senior director of environmental management and chief sustainability and compliance executive Kelly Barr expressed their excitement regarding the partnership with Nissan.
